BOY OUTFIT .....

As you know i dont make outfits for the boys but i was asked to make a boyish coat for a no nose boy so i thought id try and make a shirt to go with it and some trousers so it could be a complete outfit ....
i drew the shirt pattern but when i started sewing the collar realised that unless i wanted an elvis vegas style shirt i had to make a smaller collar , im pleased with how it turned out with the slightly rounded bottom bit but i think if i make another i may make it a bit wider and slightly longer , the plan was for it to do up to the neck but that didnt happen ....

the trousers are just standard elasticated waist that i make all the time .....

I made the coat out of thick grey wool and lined it in the same fabric as the shirt, i could have made it a bit bigger though as the gotz are a bit chunkier , i found it a bit odd sewing on poppers and buttons on the opposite side than usual, i felt clumsy like i was doing something backwards ...

All i think looks quite sweet until i put the hood up , yes the gotz are bigger but i forgot the no noses have larger heads and this one loads of hair so yes the hood goes up but i think he may faint from being strangled if left up for very long .....

  2. What a great outfit Sarah. I love this shirt great style and fabric, I like that it's open at the neck. I think the hood is a good size it will help keep his hair in place! Those no nose boys do like to have it sticking out all over the place.
A fabulous boys outfit..people will be wanting more...... :)xxx

  7. It's wonderful, Sarah. Bertie is not allowed near the laptop until after you post again, though - can't have these little guys all demanding a winter jacket from you or your regular, girl customers will be very upset! Jenni x
