SOLD.....
cheque or gift paypal please ....
I am selling this little waif for a friend, he originally was a gregor strung with all white elastic so from around 1970, at some stage he has been rerooted with red hair (not by me) this hair has now been cropped to the scalp and some completely removed....the wig she is now wearing isnt ideal as its black so quite harsh against her hazy eyes, the wig was once glued onto a different doll and now has lost its stretch ....she can hold a pose well and comes wearing a passion for sasha dress and knickers set, also included is a leather bag and a pair of ruths shoes ....she will need a wash as shes a bit grubby, i think shes got a lovely face and would suit being a golden blonde, so an ideal reroot candidate or would need a new wig .....

ZILLIONS OF PLAITS .....
A few years ago i decided i would try an ethnic reroot and the plaits girl was born, i didnt like the look at first but it soon grew on me , this girl though has the prettiest face and i think she would still look good even if she were bald ....
i then decided to do another in a different style, this girl wasnt blessed with a pretty face but i had kind of a bond as he was one of the first dolls i ever bought and at the time was tiny compared to my other dolls, i decided on dreadlocks but found that yes they were easy to make when they werent actually attatched to the dolls head but it was so difficult on the rooted hair, i wasnt happy with the result and it didnt grow on me, so after a while i cut them shorter and tried to make each individual dreadlock better, that didnt really work either SO....
after looking at her everyday stood behind my sewing machine, i decided that the best thing to do would be to cut all the hair off and reroot again and do another ethnic hairstyle...this doll had loads more holes in its head than the original plaited girl so i thought i would try "corn rolls " ? at the front of the hair, the rerooting seemed to take forever and then the plaiting was never ending BUT at last i am happy with how she now looks, i enhanced her eyes a bit as they were so dark you couldnt see them before, maybe if im being picky some of the plaits at the front arent as uniform in size as they should be but it was a bit of a nightmare to do and i had to judge the size using the existing holes that were there .....
i started the front plaits this side and theres one thats a bit fatter than the rest but i tried to unplait it and realised i couldnt so it will have to stay like this ...
this all looks a bit magnified as you can see all the flaws but if you look in real life you dont see them ...
a bit of yellowy colouring for her eyes, i didnt want to try and repaint them i just added a bit of colour and made the line on her top eyelid a bit blacker ...
