VERY PROUD !!!!!!!!!.........

Im sure this wont mean anything to people not in the uk but esme sent a picture that she'd drawn into blue peter which is a long running bbc childrens programme, it was for comic relief and she drew a cartoon strip using  all the comic relief red noses, anyway im sure they would have got thousands of pictures but on comic relief night esmes was shown on the tv ! then this week this letter arrived in the post along with a coveted blue peter badge !....when i was growing up i think it was every childs dream to get a blue peter badge and now esme has one !.....and in owning one she can now get into various uk attractions for free, things like alton towers, london dungeons  etc.....so shes chuffed to bits !

she has though refused to have her photo taken wearing the badge , now aged 11 far too cool for photos !...so my no navel is showing it off....

i just thought id add these random next photos of my retro girls, stood together it just shows up more how pretty the one with the plaits is....i made these dresses this week and im not happy with either but they seem to suit these girls well......

  1. Wow, huge Congratulations to Esme! Well done :-)

As to your two retro girls, looking at them both together I really do think they are both wonderful each with their own look, neither prettier than the other just different, but very obviously friends... Their dresses look pretty great as well.

  7. well done Esme. my elder daughter got a Blue Peter badge with the whole of year 6 at her school when one of their classmates won a comp - the whole year group went to the studios and saw McFly perform a song with the words her friend had written and they helped with a cooking activity on screen - we still have the recording which features my girl wearing the sweater I had made. she used the badge for a few attractions and wears it to give her luck at every music exam. Make sure Esme gets the most out of the badge before she turns 16.

Like you Sarah, I never knew anyone who got a blue peter badge ... I used to watch it but I mostly liked the ones where they made furniture for Sindy dolls, my Mum was really good at making it all for me :) Can still see the sofa now in my mind!
Love, love your redhead no navel, what a beauty, she looks stunning in her white dress.
I think your retro girls are fab, I think they are both pretty & I love their dresses, can't see anything wrong with them at all, I think they're great! Cathy x

  10. How wonderful for Esme to not only win a coveted Blue Peter Badge BUT to have her work shown on the TV as well.

Great idea, since the owner of the badge is too 'cool' to have her photo taken wearing it, to show it to us on your beautiful newish No-navel girl.

Loving your two re-root girls and their very smart retro dresses. Hopefully we might be seeing some of this style for sale sometime soon?
