Firstly something nice happenned yesterday, my daughter esme along with 8 other pupils recieved 100% attendance for the school year out of 600 children, all the names were put in a hat and esme was drawn out as the winner and won £100 to spend on anything she wanted, so after the initial shock of feeling embarrassed with the whole school cheering and clapping her, shes now over the moon !......
Next, im not really sure its the place to be writing this as its usually a place to come to look at nice photos, not for people to listen to my problems but i wanted to write as ive had so many lovely emails from people that ive not been able to reply to and i didnt want people to think ive been being rude in not replying.....
The last couple of months have been a nightmare due to my husbands illness, he was finally diagnosed a few days ago as having bipolar disorder, which used to be known as manic depression, it affects the persons mood which can go from being extremely low to manically high, i would find it so helpfull if anyone reading this has had any experience of this illness and could contact me privately, ive read so much about it but it would be a comfort for me if someone i knew had experienced the same, as im finding it impossible to deal with......
As for sewing all my creativity for the moment seems to have gone out the window !, esme is off school for the summer but i hope to be able to sew again in september......
In the meantime, i will hopefully add some photos of my newest reroot, im really pleased how she has turned out as i used nearly black hair which was a bit of a gamble as i wasnt sure about it at all......and im sure ill be able to take more dolly photos over the summer......
Anyway dont worry about leaving any comments here as ill probably delete this post over the next few days as its not the nice sasha thing that i like this blog to be ........sarah x
I left a comment so you can pass on the message to Esme - many congratulations to her for both her 100% attendance and her wonderful prize. What a really lovely thing to happen! {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Esme! £100 how exciting. Would love to read how she spent it.
ReplyDeleteWell Done Esme...will a little blue nose sneak in with some of her well deserved prize money.
ReplyDeleteshe wont actually get the money untill she goes back to school in september but shes already spending it in her mind and today she went into clintons to have a look and so far wants to spend £50 on blue noses!.......sarah x
DeleteCongratulations Esme... and to the other eight children concerned...on this great achievement. A whole school year without missing a day. Wonderful to realise that you are all so healthy to be able to do this. Yours must be due to a good wholesome diet, a daily kept sensible routine, good fresh sea air and that daily walk to and from school.
ReplyDeleteA 100% attendance certificate plus a £100 prize will be something that you'll never forget. Enjoy thinking of how you can spend it during the Summer holidays and then enjoy the resulting spending spree in September...but remember to save a little for 'that rainy day!'
Sasha love and again, congratulations, from Kendal.
What a top girl! Well Done Esme! Really, really pleased for you!! You'd better give your Mum a huge hug for looking after you so well :)
DeleteWell done Esme and Sarah! Being a grandma of 5 grandchildren, I know how hard it is to get them off to school on occasions when they are not feeling 100%. Enjoy spending your money, you have earned it! And what a clever trick by the school!!! Must be a good one! xxx Karin
ReplyDeleteMany Congratulations Esme ... well done on your 100% attendance .. what a wonderful prize to win, have fun spending your winnings .. I think its quite nice that you have a little while to wait before receiving the money because you might see many different things over the summer holidays, so by the time September comes you'll know what you really, really want to buy! Hugs Cathy & Betsy xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Esme.....very happy for you...and what an achievement Sarah to keep Esme so healthy that she could attend school every day. :-)
ReplyDeleteI will write to you very soon. My best friend's husband has had bi-polar disorder all his life and is a lovely caring person, but stressful times (eg losing his Mum ) gives him either depression or elation, but the medication is invaluable and he soon becomes stable again. They have learnt to manage it very well and have a very happy life. Thinking of you, Susan
well done Esme, Congratulations for having such a caring Mum to help you through getting to school everyday.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Sarah you will get through the bad times soon. I have a friend that suffers from Bi-Polar and most of the time she is a very lovely caring person and a pleasure to have as a friend.
She copes with good medical care and a lovely husband and friends.
Take care my friend

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with the Sarah (as you know)!
