Cherries......

When i was little in the 70s when it always seemed to be warm in the summer , my mum thought it would be fitting attire for me to wear a swimming costume or bikini at all times. My friends used to laugh when we were older when they looked back at photos of birthday parties from when we were 7 or 8 and they were all dressed in floor length party dresses and i was there in my swimming costume , i remember having a pale blue towelling one with a high neck and a chunky white zip up the front and i remember playing on the forbidden building site in a purple bikini and falling off a plank of wood straight into a ditch full of nettles. One of my favourite things to do at that time was sit up the apple tree in the garden reading, so i thought i would take a photo of this 1970 ish waif (who sits on my shelf all year round in her swimming costume) sitting in the cherry tree in our garden.......
