  3. The 1972 Cora with her magnificent eye painting just has to be my favourite here followed closely by the 1968 rare brunette fringe girl. The 1968 Gregor's eyes are outstandingly painted with the same year of manufacture PJ boy's coming second. Love the fact that the Ruth Hartley grey blazer looks like it was obviously bought to last for a few years.
Thanks Steve for sharing your superb Sasha collection with us and thanks again Sarah for your excellent photography and for the time taken in listing them for our enjoyment.
    Sasha love from Kendal.
PS. I remember playing in my childhood with a very similar antique doll to one of yours that belonged to my mother's sister and being somewhat afraid of the arm and leg double-joints. (She is still around here somewhere but in in need of restringing and a new wig.)

  5. I'll have to agree with Kendal on your stunning 1972 Cora...BEAUTIFUL eye painting! She is my favorite too.
You have a very nice grouping of antique bebes.
Is that a Jumeau DEP standing in the back?
Thank you Steve for sharing your exquisite (Sasha & antique) collections with us. And, a special thank you to Sarah for the fine photography.

  6. Thank you all for your kind comments on my Sasha collection! Sarah and i forgot a couple of my dolls, but i am sure Sarah will get to photograph them next time she is up!
My antique dolls are mostly big Simon Halbig dolls. There is a DEP Jumeau in there, but she is the girl in the left hand corner with her fringe swept to the side. Sarah needs to visit again as i have brought five more dolls to join them, lol.
    Thank you all again!
    Love Steve XXXXXX

  7. I just wanted to say that after viewing all your dolls, I wanted to get up and applaud your efforts. They are all beautiful and you must be so proud. Thank you for allowing Sarah to photograph them. I love your taste in Sashas, those finely painted eyes, their hair...right down to the clothes they are wearing...FABULOUS!!!
Since you also collect Simon Halbig dolls, what is your criteria when purchasing (if I may ask)?
Lasty, CONGRATULATIONS on the five *new* ones coming to join your family...that's thrilling news!!!
