REROOT .....

This latest reroot started life as a 1970 london boy with really badly falling hair which was such a shame as he was such a minty matt boy ....i didnt want to do a "normal" reroot, so i decided on plaits not knowing at all what they would look like on a white girl and as you will see from the photos it was rather alot of work to do to find out if it would be nice or not ....luckily i think she now does look nice , i dont think she will be to everyones taste as she certainly is different and i doubt theyll be another like her ......

lots of photos ! .....

before the ridiculous amount of hours of plaiting started .....

  1. Wow Wee Sarah, she is just wonderful and I cannot imagine the time and effort (tired fingers) that you have devoted to her gorgeous braiding. I treasure my Whitney so very much and I think she may be the most recent reroot with braiding that you had created until this lovely girl arrived on the scene. Well done and thank you for sharing her before photos too! :) xxx

  4. Sarah she is just WONDERFUL and amazing too! Such a lit of plaits, such hard work! I love the 'before' photo too, you'd never think it possible that not only is it the same girl but that you could get that bushy lot if hair into those thin plaits!
    Well done you!!

  5. Brilliant, what a work of art - firstly the rerooting then the plaits!

  6. Totally awesome! I wouldn't have known just where to have started the plaiting....and then to get them all so even. Did you have to count the hair strands each time you started the plait?
Certainly a labour of love with fantastic and unique results.Congratulations! You'll definitely be remembered for these projects in our Sasha history!

    1. thanks kendal, 6 hair plugs per plait , its like a jigsaw though as the plugs have to be in a kind of rectangle shape but sometimes theres a rogue plug on its own and you have to decide which plait its going to go in ...so 157 plaits , 6 plugs in each so that was around 942 holes to reroot ! xxxx

    2. Hi Sarah I was starting to get numbness in my hand from over doing it. I went to the doctor and he said it might be carpal tunnel syndrome and he sent me off to the hospital. They gave me a hand splint and after wearing it a couple of days the symptom's have eased. it was just a walk in therapy unit at the local hospital and you don't need to make an appointment, just a letter from your Doctor?

    3. hi theresa, i had carpal tunnel when i was pregnant and when this first happenned a few years back thats what the doctor thought it was but i went for physio at the hospital for a few months and she said this wasnt that at all, it was something to do with a nerve in my neck , this times not nearly as bad as last time, i just think my arms now weak and ive got to learn not to overdo things, so no more plaiting ! xxx
