Blue Nose Friends.....

I noticed while looking at Dees blog "sasha village" that her new later gotz gregor was holding a little blue nose friend, i had to warn her that these little teddies multiply quite fast and then she posted a photo of one of her babys surrounded by the collection as theyd already multiplied to 10, esme loves these so much and loved seeing the photo, so she set all hers up ready to be photographed, she has 23 and they all are lined up on her pillow at night, the photos not too good as it was just before bed and the light was on......

I had such a lovely suprise yesterday after a bit of a disaster morning, i had been trying to self assemble a new (very cheap and nasty) hat/coat stand, i had to attatch wooden balls to hollow metal poles that would form the hooks for the coats, the balls wouldnt fit so i tried brute force, it all slipped and the pole went into the base of my forefinger, rich (hubby) said hed seen worse but i went to the hospital today and they sorted it out but ive now got a huge dressing on so i cant do any sewing for a while.....
anyway back to my pressie, my sasha friend chris said she had sent me a gift, i had absolutely no idea of what it could be .....a while ago i had sent her a card which was a photo of one of my models and as a suprise she had drawn a copy for me and had it mounted and framed !, i was over the moon , it was just what i needed to cheer me up, shes so talented........THANKYOU  so much chris.....there are some really lovely people in the sasha world !

All the dresses this week are exactly the same but i think all look different in the different colours and prints....

Pretty Girl.....

HOORAY !....I finally finished what seemed like a never ending task, i havent a clue how Alison does this all the time and i think she quite enjoys doing it !, i think im quite pleased with the result as the hair colour really suits her and the tangling problem was only because the hair was so long, now its been cut its smooth and swishy, i may have to do a bit more trimming as it was quite difficult to cut right, you need the doll to stand up rigid and straight while hair cutting but this girl needs to be restrung and was too floppy to do that, so i did the best i could, today though i have tightened her original elastic that really now is more like cord with a tiny bit of give to it than stretchy elastic, so i need to buy more elastic for her and maybe soak her hair again to make it lay a bit flatter.......and then i just need to make some clothes for her to model, Esmes back at school next tuesday so ill be able to get back into a routine.......

Reroot...........

i thought id share with you the progress on the "new boy" reroot, i did plan to have him as a brunette to be a twin for my reroot with the centre part and bunches but changed my mind when i saw this rather odd colour hair that i think suits really well, its different shades of blonde with a hint of red to it....but im thinking i should have stuck with the brunette as this isnt the best quality hair and seems to tangle really easily, im hoping its just because the hairs lots longer than i usually use and when its cut to the right length fingers crossed it will be ok, or if it does still tangle i may leave it extra long so she can wear it in 2 plaits. i seem to be getting lots of it done considering ive not sat for great lengths of time actually doing it, the holes in the head are spaced quite well, apart from a strip at the back but sometimes when rerooting a girl the whole of the fringe area looks like that and its hard because theres so many holes to fill the hair can end up looking too thick......anyway im hoping i dont run out of hair as im not sure there looks enough left, i may have to add a few strands of blonde to the back if that happens........i let you know how i get on !...........
ps the streaks in the hair dont look as red in real life and ive plaited sections as i go to keep it from tangling but you can see in the last photo how frizzed the ends are........

I have taken so many photos today of the outfits i have for sale and these are the best of a bad bunch ! it was far too sunny in the sunshine and too dark in the shade....so these were taken some where inbetween, i may have another go after dinner when the suns gone down a bit and i may get better results, im sure though in the mean time you can see what the outfits are like...its just that the photos arent as nice as they could be !
