STUFF ...

Well during this lockdown as you know ive been sewing to keep myself busy, i dont usually do commissions or make copies of things ive made but my minds a bit pre occupied at the minute so after the last lot of clothes i sold , i made a few things for people as it would keep me busy without actually having to decide what to make if that makes sense ! ......

Then at the start of lockdown id had a bald dolly that id had a few years so i decided to reroot her using hair that i had here , i had to mix 2 colours together as i didnt have enough of each colour , im a bit cross as at the back it looks like shes got 2 odd streaks , must of not been concentrating and didnt alternate the colours enough ...anyway i finished her and didnt like her at all , then last week i decided she'd look far better with a bob , i need to add a few more plugs to her hairline as it looks a bit gappy but now i think she looks nice ...no clothes yet !!!

I think im feeling a bit unsettled as im not sure when ill be back at work , ive been told its either the 5th or 18th july , im going into the unknown as i dont know how itll be , there are going to be so many changes and im not good at changes !!! (im a waitress in a hotel) ....then on june 30th my new puppy will arrive , ive named him pipkin , pip for short , hes a biewer terrier , a relation of a yorkie ....i would of dearly loved another cavalier king charles but no matter how much i tried it just wasnt happenning and then pip came along and it all fell into place , so i think a new breed and a new start , im sure my lifes going to be turned upside down for a while untill we get to know each other , i know theyll def be no sewing for a while !! i just hope he settles in easily , he'll be 12 weeks old when he arrives and will be missing his mum and siblings ....this is him at 8 weeks xxx

  1. Oh Sarah, Pip is gorgeous, you'll be so happy once he's dashing about chewing everything lol I love the name you have given him and obviously you were meant to have a change probably Zac didn't want another KC taking his place yet!
I love how you've bobbed the Sasha's hair, great colour and I love the length you've cut it at, she's going to be a great model.
Beautfiul clothes as always and I hope everyone appreciates you making them.
Good luck going back! I'm sure it will be a bit strange at first, for everyone , not just you, so remember that, you are all like fish out of water for a while and everyone including the customers will eventually get the hang of it xxx

  2. Hi Sarah, your re-root girl is stunning and as for Pip, well what's not to love. I am sure Pip will keep you on your toes. As to going back to work it will feel strange for a while, but if we keep going in the right direction it won't be too long until everything gets back to normal hopefully. I have not stopped working from day one, in fact I have been busier than ever. We have a one way system at work, only a certain number of people allowed in one room, so we have 2 meters apart and of course that will probably go down to one metre this week. good luck with everything xxxxxxxxxx

  3. Like YOU I'm not so keen on CHANGES (especially when they turn out to be not as good imo as the previous ones) but I'm sure that we will soon quickly adapt to our new circumstances.
Just ADORE your new and soon-to-arrive little doggie, Pipkin. I loved my thirteen and a half years with my Yorkshire Terrier, Zipadeedoodah (Zip, Zippy.) She was such a spirited and fun loving little soul and always ready for anything.
Pipkin has such attractive coloured coat markings, love his white patches in amongst the black and tan. Exciting too to be adopting a rarer breed of dog.
Nothing quite like a bobbed Sasha. She looks positively stunning with this now shorter style. Makes me wonder why the Trendon Factory didn't experiment with this length of hair as I'm sure that it would have been quite popular.
Wishing you a safe and happy job re-start in July and a wonderfully happy and long doggie companionship with Pipkin.

  5. Her hair looks beautiful Sarah, you really are too hard on yourself some times. I think the bob suits her beautifully.

Your new puppy is so sweet. Probably you are hoping to return to work later so you have more time at home with the new pup as he settles. How exciting having a new puppy. He will be a delight I am sure.
