GIRLS IN COATS ....
Ive been making a start on sewing for Dees snap 'n' chat in october and ive started with some coats and thought id add the photos here but they wont be available to buy untill the day, or if theyre not popular on the day they shall be for sale here afterwards....the blue with the velvet collar and hat was a bit of a nightmare to make as the velvet just slips out of place, i hand stitched it together first but as soon as it goes near the sewing machine it somehow moves, so the hat has turned out slightly a different shape than all the others and you can see a tiny bit of the underside fabric of the collar which is rather annoying !...i plan to make a few more out of floral needlecord, then onto some dresses...ive been on the look out for pink tweed but up untill now no luck ...

DeleteWe're really spoilt for choice here BUT at least I have some time to try to decide which one to hopefully go for on THE actual day without risking a heart attack due to stress and excitement and trying to cope with the eager crowds around your sales table.

DeleteLovely colours and great hats, I hope I'm by you at the chat n snap like last year so I can snap a bargain or two! and I'm sure all your lovely clothes will sell very quickly so get sewing as I understand that Dee may be opening up the tickets sales for 1 week only (unsure when) due to the newbies who have been added to the facebook groups.

DeleteSarah your work is amazing and beautiful, I have never sewed in my life but you motivate me to want to learn !! If you have leftovers (which I doubt) I'd love to buy a coat & hat !
