i really love the saucer eyed girls but i know theyre not to everyones taste !, this first girl is stunning and when i saw her i knew i just had to have her, so i sold lots and then she was mine, her skin is really dark and when shes stood next to the other two she looks like shes just come back from a holiday in the sun......
this next pale skinned girl i bought for "cheap" from ebay, she was a good price but i hadnt realised she would be so much of a waif untill she arrived, the main problem being her hair, it was literally grey, i tried everything to clean it but even though its improved it still has a blue/grey tinge to it, also it was so dry and no amount of conditioning sorted it out so i ended up cutting the worst of it off....i think though with more patience these problems probably could have been rectified but im not too patient when a new doll arrives, so she has to put up with her greying dry hair....
youve seen this girl before but now she has a new dress that suits her perfectly, a presant bought back from the festival for me from kendal and steve ....thankyou !
lastly, i really enjoyed seeing the festival photos of all the folk that attended and it was so good to put faces to names, so i thought id be brave and add a photo of me here, esme took it in the garden today and i did feel a bit stupid just standing there not knowing what to do with myself !
Wonderful photo of you Sarah! :-) You look great.
ReplyDeleteYour girls are lovely and their dresses are very pretty. The red hair looks much prettier in that dress, it really suits her.
What a treat Sarah ... Your saucer eyed girls are FAB .. I LOVE them!! Aren't they all so different, lovely to see the pic of the 3 of them altogether. They all look great in their gorgeous dresses, the new dress really suits your redhead. They really are all gorgeous ... making me want to add another to my collection now ... I'd love a redhead ...

Hello Sarah, you look beautiful, my dear friend! Well done Esme for taking such a lovely picture!
ReplyDeleteI really didn't like the saucer eyed girls for a long time and that also went for the pale skin girls! Now, i really them. Its funny how our taste change over the years!
Your three girls are fab! I agree with Fanny, your brunette is stunning.
Love Steve XXXXX
Hi Sarah
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see you! I to like the brunette because she does not look so saucer eyed as the other two. They are all nice but I'm still not sold on them but like Steve says tastes change over time...
Dee X
Ps well done Esme on the photo of Mum
Lovely picture. It is so nice to be putting names with faces. I hope to be as brave some day. I really like the saucer eyed girls. Your one with the grey hair could be Sophie from "Howl's Moving Castle". A favorite book of mine (actually Sophie was older than your girl when her hair is turned grey, but she still reminds me of Sophie).
ReplyDeleteLooking Good Sarah both you and the girls , great pic Esme what a clever girl ;o) xxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, good to see a picture of you! The girls are gorgeous, too! I think I may have to track one down for myself, as they remind me a great deal of my granddaughter, Iona! She often has that far-away look about her! I loved seeing this post. xxx karin
