NEW GIRL ....

I wasnt planning on a new arrival but i mentioned to a friend that id seen a girl like this on ebay and that by the time i decided to buy her someone had got there first so my friend said she had this girl who could come to model for me , when she arrived her hair  was quite thin on top and her fringe a bit frizzy, id not planned on doing any rerooting but esme phoned after school to ask if she could go to a friends for tea , so i had a spare few hours .....i didnt have the right colour hair but im impatient so i used the best match i had and its blended in quite well, so i rerooted the top of her head and now i think she looks lovely , im not sure about the hair clip that you cant see in the pic but im trying to make her hair stay over by itself , i can see though shes going to be a difficult model as one leg is way longer than the other  and shes difficult to stand , ive stuffed one shoe with cardboard and also stuck something under the shoe to make that leg a bit longer , its made her ok to stand but its not easy and she looks a bit awkward , her outfit will be for sale in a few weeks, im not sure its the most suited for her but it suits her better than the other things ive made so far .....rather alot of photos !

Ive eased myself in gently as i felt all fingers and thumbs when i sewed again after a few months off , so lots of sleeveless outfits as i didnt want to do fiddly sleeves for now but next time they'll be more outfits with sleeves .....also sorry i wont be able to make any clothes to order for a while .....

Pretty sleeveless floral cotton smock top with contrasting collar, crop trousers that match the collar they have turn ups and an elasticated waist , also included are hair ribbons (not shown) and white nylon socks , my models shoes are not included ....

Unusal fabric dress, the dress has a mint green background and ive added a contrasting trim to match the flowers, it comes with a reversable headband , matching bloomers and white nylon socks ....my models shoes are not included ....

Full skirted dress made from unused vintage clothkits fabric, it was quite a puzzle trying to work out which patterns in the fabric to use for which bits of the dress, underneath are matching bloomers and it comes with a reversable headband, also included are white nylon socks , my models shoes are not included ...

Drop waist sleeveless dress made from pretty cotton with contrasting piping and collar , this is quite a loose fitting dress, mum said in the 60s they were called "cookie dresses" and were all loose fitting but i made 2 more further down with wider shoulders and more fitted waist ....underneath are matching bloomers , also included is a reversable headband and white nylon socks , my models shoes are not included ....

Drop waist dress made from vintage laura ashley fabric, it appears fuller in the skirt than the others but its exactly the same its just that the fabric is stiffer , it has contrasting collar and piping and comes with matching bloomers and reversable headband , also included are white nylon socks , my models shoes are not included ....

Delicate white cotton dress made from 2 vintage petticoats, im not entirely happy with how the skirt hangs as i had to join two pieces of fabric together to get the length, so the seam where ive joined it is stiffer than i would like for such delicate fabric ...but maybe im just being picky ! ...underneath are pintucked bloomers , lacey headband and white nylon socks ....my models shoes are not included ....

TRIFFID .....

Well not really ! ...just a giant echium, i was sunbathing today and thought it would make a nice photo...its taller than it looks in the photo as it fell down and i had to tie it to the fence so now its wonky ....i would have taken pics of gregor too but i repainted his eyes a while back (for about the 6th time) and thought they looked quite nice untill i saw them in bright daylight today and realised theyll need to be done again ....
